Self-portrait (updated)
Well, for a change of tune…this is what a Facebook app concluded about me (and I think it was more or less apt)
creative, smart, idealist, loner, attracted to sad things, disorganized, avoidant, can be overwhelmed by unpleasant feelings, prone to quitting, prone to feelings of loneliness, ambivalent of the rules, solitary, daydreams about people to maintain a sense of closeness, focus on fantasies, acts without planning, low self confidence, emotionally moody, can feel defective, prone to lateness, likes esoteric things, wounded at the core, feels shame, frequently losing things, prone to sadness, prone to dreaming about a rescuer, disorderly, observer, easily distracted, does not like crowds, can act without thinking, private, can feel uncomfortable around others, familiar with the darkside, hermit, more likely to support marijuana legalization, can sabotage self, likes the rain, sometimes can’t control fearful thoughts, prone to crying, prone to regret, attracted to the counter culture, can be submissive, prone to feeling discouraged, frequently second guesses self, not punctual, not always prepared, can feel victimized, prone to confusion, prone to irresponsibility, can be pessimistic …
hmm…

Kinda cracks me up. Are you my brother in more than one sense of the word?
Thought that was too generalized to be a self-portrait, therefore I am writing a more particular one for my next post.
Life’s Elsewhere: Sure I am!
you forgot one: painfully and fearlessly honest!
Life’s Elsewhere: Thanks CD, that was touching! As said, a Facebook app concluded this…not me
more likely to support marijuana legalization, lol! Actually you and I seem very similar…probably many poets/creative people have similar type personalities…but meh, how can any person be described by a list of traits such as these…
Life’s Elsewhere: I told you, its not me, but a Facebook app! I was amused by the list, probably ‘coz they were all correct, more or less. How come the app did not find few more things which are positive in a normative way…
so..then… are you more or less likely to “support marijuana legalization”? (just kidding) This a clever post idea. I like it.
Okay, Lou, CafeDog and PB, I have updated this post with more probably-correct traits of mine.
And ‘marijuana legalisation’? Oh yes, I can’t take it because it increases my paranoia to the bonkers-level
And so many of my brighter students look at my face like a zombie and can’t actually apprehend things I am painfully trying to convince them ‘coz they are stoned…
So better they have cleaner and purified stuff of things they like so much. Lesser health hazards!
“Borderline personality disorder”? Well, how do they do that? Psycho-telepathy or something?
Sense in times of insensibility is something different, it’s also called nonconformity. But Sri Bhrigus are always so conducive to generalities. Don’t take them too literally.
Life’s Elsewhere: But I was happy that they didn’t call me normal in a normative way! As far BPD or other mumbo-zumbo are concerned, I am sure I have them as far my writerly-self is concerned
Will display them more!
nobody seems to have noticed the interestingness of “daydreams about people to maintain a sense of closeness”. ahwell.
